项目背景：
哈佛大学 Richard Freeman教授主导研究的中国经济史大数据研究项目意在通过收集和电子化中国县志中数据，分析新中国成立至今（部分涉及民国年间）的社会经济发展状况。此研究Z终建立的新中国成立后Z完善的社会经济数据库将涵盖中国近2000个县（市），时间跨度长达65年，包括120个变量。此项目的实施将对中国近代的经济社会发展研究做出杰出贡献。

招聘意向：
本次招聘面向所有大学本科、硕士和博士研究生，要求在规定的时间内完成数据检查反馈和数据清理工作。
注意：本项目不会针对参与者收取任何费用；参与者自愿报名，项目不提供工资。

助研奖励
1. 所有项目参与者将获得由哈佛大学经济系出式的正式工作证明；

工作内容：
1. 数据校对与数据清理，生成有效的分析类数据；
2. 协助完成数据库搭建；
3. 数据分析与运用

工作要求：
1. 时间灵活，远程工作和团队沟通能力；
2. 及时完成工作内容；
3. 工作认真，快速学习能力；
4. 优秀的沟通表达能力及书面写作能力；
5. 熟练使用word和excel；

China Gazetteer Project
Remote Research Assistant Recruitment

Location: Online
Application deadline: 5th, April, 2016
Duration: at least 4 months
Workload: estimated 8-10 hours per week, attending online meetings is a must.

Background:
The China Gazetteer Project, supervised by Richard B. Freeman, the Herbert Ascherman Professor of Economics at Harvard University, is aiming to digitalize Chinese local-county-level and city-level gazetteers and create a socioeconomic database that will be updated yearly for researchers interested in Chinese studies.(http://www.chinagazetteer.com)

Aims:
Professor Richard Freeman, holding the Herbert Ascherman Chair in Economics at Harvard University, is seeking highlyskilled individuals as part-time economic data checkers for at least six months from Spring 2016.

Award:
1. All volunteers will receive certificates from Harvard Econ Department.
2.Excellent team members win Summer research opportunity in Harvard. Evaluation will be based on performance and participation.

Roles and Responsibilities:
1. Data checking and data cleaning
2. Database establishment
3. Data analysis and applicaion

Requirements:
1. Flexible and adaptable to remote team working；
2. Time commitment of assignment and online meeting；
3. Patience, carefulness and quickly learning;
4. Strong ability of effective communication;
5. Proficient in excel &word;
6. A master of Stata, Python &C language is preferred.
